Politics Is for Power: How to Move Beyond Political Hobbyism, Take Action, and Make Real Change
Monday, March 9 | 12 PM | Rabb Room, Tisch College (Barnum Hall)
Join Tisch College and Tufts Political Science Professor Eitan Hersh for a lunch conversation and celebration of his recent book, Politics is for Power. The book uses political theory, history, and cutting-edge social science to encourage readers to veer away from political hobbyism—arguing that effective change comes from being active political participants on a local level.
Prior to coming to Tufts, Hersh was assistant professor of political science and resident fellow of the Institution for Social and Policy Studies at Yale University. His peer-reviewed articles have been published in major political science journals as well as the Boston Globe, New York Times and more. Hersh is also the author of Hacking the Electorate. Hersh received a B.A in Philosophy from Tufts University, and an M.A. and PhD in Political Science from Harvard University.
This event is sponsored by Tisch College and the Political Science Department. Lunch will be provided.
