Coffee & Cookies with Congressman Will Hurd

Friday, September 6 | 2 PM | Rabb Room, Tisch College

Join us for coffee, cookies, and conversation with Congressman Will Hurd (R-TX23). Elected to Congress in 2014, Hurd is the only African-American Republican in the U.S. House of Representatives, and the only congressman in the past decade to serve Texas’ 23rd District for three consecutive terms. He serves on the House Permanent Select Intelligence Committee as Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on Intelligence Modernization and Readiness, and on the House Appropriations Committee. Before being elected to Congress, Hurd served as an undercover CIA officer in the Middle East and South Asia for nearly a decade, after which he became a senior advisor in a cybersecurity firm and a partner in a strategic advisory firm helping businesses expand into international markets. Congressman Hurd announced last month that he will not seek reelection in 2020. Follow the conversation on Twitter at #WillHurdAtTufts.
