Civic Life Lunch - COVID-19 in Boston: Running a City During a Pandemic

Wednesday, September 30 | 12 PM ET | Virtual Event

Join Tisch College for a conversation with City of Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, the city’s Health and Human Services Chief Marty Martinez, and its Chief of Equity Dr. Karilyn Crockett. These three Boston leaders will discuss what it’s like to manage a major American city during a global pandemic, sharing the ways in which COVID-19 has transformed every aspect of life in Boston and what public officials have done and continue to do to mitigate the impact of the pandemic. They will also discuss COVID-19 health disparities in Boston, the broader reckoning with racial justice in America, and its implications for equity—as well as how the city has been preparing for this November’s general election during this unprecedented crisis.
