Philippe Reines has been a spokesman and adviser to Hillary Clinton since 2002, including famously acting as Donald Trump's stand-in during her 2016 presidential debate preparations. He is currently the co-host of the podcast UNREDACTED and frequently appears on MSNBC, FOX, BBC, NPR, and CNN. His opinion pieces have run in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Politico, CNN and Axios. Reines served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Strategic Communications and Senior Communications Advisor during Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State, as Senior Advisor & Press Secretary to Clinton when she was a U.S. Senator, and as Communications Advisor for National Security & Foreign Policy during her first presidential campaign in 2008. Reines was also a member of the 2000 Gore/Lieberman presidential campaign’s rapid-response team, including serving on the communications team of the Gore/Lieberman Recount Committee during the post-election litigation in Florida.
