Engineers Week: The Citizen Engineering Movement
Room 253, Robinson Hall (Science & Engineering Complex)
Over the past 15 years, both aspiring and professional engineers have unleashed the power of engineering to change the world by volunteering to construct infrastructure projects that have allowed millions of people to live healthy, productive lives, while also creating a pool of trained and committed individuals prepared to solve global challenges. Come hear from Cathy Leslie, Executive Director of Engineers Without Borders, about how this impact is not only a story of better lives in communities but is also the story of a citizen engineering movement that creates a mission-driven, highly-skilled professional with the know-how to combat global poverty.
This event is part of Engineers Week at Tufts, and is cosponsored by the School of Engineering Dean's Office and the Tisch College of Civic Life.
