Join us for a transformative series of panel events exploring the intersection of higher education and restorative justice with TUPIT (Tufts University Prison Initiative of the Tisch College of Civic Life). The Tufts Education Reentry Network (MyTERN) Symposium brings together students, educators, and community members to reimagine how educational spaces can serve as vehicles for healing, transformation, and social change.
Four dynamic panel discussions will feature traditional Tufts undergraduates and formerly incarcerated MyTERN students who are educational innovators, discussing the importance of education as community building through a restorative lens. Formerly incarcerated students will share their stories about prison, TUPIT in prison, reentry into society and onto the Tufts campus.
4-5 pm: Revolutionizing Higher Ed – the Medford Student Experience
5-6 pm: The TUPIT Transformation – individual and systemic change
6-7 pm: Education as Liberation – the MyTERN experience
