Every student at Tufts has opportunities to make community engagement and civic life a part of their education, including graduate and professional school students.
Tisch College supports service learning initiatives at the Tufts schools of medicine, dental medicine, and veterinary medicine that provide transformational learning experiences in which future health professionals can practice what they’re learning while making a difference on issues of public health, education, community development, and more.
Graduate and professional students can apply for summer fellowships with governmental, nonprofit, and community service organizations through the Tisch Summer Fellows programs. In addition, students from the health sciences schools may apply to opportunities designed specifically to match their unique skills and professional interests.
The Honos Civicus Society celebrates and publicly recognizes graduating students who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to civic engagement and leadership during their studies.
