The 2025 Honos Civicus application period opens Wednesday, January 15.

Honos Civicus selects and recognizes graduating seniors who have excelled academically and as civic leaders during their undergraduate studies at Tufts University. Inductees have an opportunity to celebrate and reflect upon their accomplishments and share the honor with peers who are similarly committed to social impact at Tufts.

Eligibility

  • Be a graduating senior
  • Demonstrated commitment to public service and civic engagement
  • Demonstrated leadership and dedication
  • Committed to Tisch College’s values of Equity, Inclusion, Trust & Reciprocity, Engaged Scholarship & Learning, Bold Thinking, and Transformation
  • A strong record of professionalism, ethical behavior, and academics

Timeline

The application timeline for the Class of 2025 will be:

  • January 15 – Applications open
  • March 3, 11:59pm – Applications due
  • Late March – Announcement of Class of 2025 Honos Civicus Society
  • May 16 – 2025 Honos Civicus Induction Ceremony (Medford - building TBD)

  • Recognition at graduation, including an Honos Civicus pin for the commencement gown
  • Being listed as an Honos Civicus inductee on the Tisch College website and other Tufts outlets
  • A connection to the Tufts Civic Life Network, a Tisch College-led alumni group for Tufts graduates who remain committed to civic engagement

Review

Applications will be reviewed by the Honos Civicus committee which includes representatives from Tisch College of Civic Life.
